Carter Pollock

2023 NYWAY State Champion

Carter took home his first ever NYWAY State Championship. It has been an amazing season for Carter as he is one of the most improved wrestler on the team. Last year he took 4th at States. Not only did he take home his first NYWAY State Championship, he is currently ranked #1 in the state for his age/weight. It just shows what hard work over the off season and commitment to this sport can do. Carter doesn't take off a single day, let alone a whole off season.

Kellan Winters

2023 NYWAY State Champion

Kellan took home his 3rd NYWAY State Championship. Kellan spent the whole season ranked #1 in the state for his age/weight. Kellan knew kids would come gunning for him. They did. In the finals, Kellan found himself in a dog fight against the #3 ranked kid in the state. But, Kellan is a smart wrestler and he kept him at bay and brought home the championship!!

Kaleb Pollock

2023 NYWAY State Champion

What an amazing season it has been for Kaleb. Kaleb has only been wrestling for 1 year. He hates to lose. That hatred drove him, as he pushed himself in the wrestling room. The results of all that hard work speak for themselves, Kaleb went from over 90 pounds all the way down to 69 pounds in 1 year. If February, he started beating kids he was losing to only a month ago. He was peaking at the perfect time.

Nico Bresadola

2023 NYWAY State Champion

Nico went into this year with 1 goal. Become a NYWAY State Champion. Nico has come so close, taking 2nd place last year. He wasn't going to let the championship slip through his fingers this year. He put a lot of hard work in the wrestling room. He cruised his way to the semi finials, pinning both his opponents. In the semi finals he went up against the #3 ranked kid in the State (Nico was ranked #5). Nico didn't allow a point to be scored on him as he cruised to a 4-0 decision. In the finals, Nico won a hard fought 6-0 decision, taking home his first ever NYWAY State Championship!!!

Hunter Doran

2023 NYWAY State Champion

Hunter has only been with us for a little over a month but he fits right in with the Brawler Elite family. He works hard and wants to learn. His hard work was on full display at NYWAY States as he dominated his bracket, not allowing any points to be scored on him, taking home his first NYWAY State Championship!!

Zayne Woodworth

2022 NYWAY State Champion

Our first NYWAY State Champion of the weekend was Zayne Woodworth. Not only did Zayne win the State Championship, he also won NYWAY's MOW Award for Division 2.

In the first round Zayne went up against maybe the 2nd best wrestler in the bracket, a kid who already made a name for himself on the youth circuit. Zayne quickly found himself in a 3-0 hole. But Zayne was determined. Zayne held his composure and got the take down, throwing his opponent to his back for the pin. Zayne then went onto pining his way through the bracket and securing his first State Title the MOW award.

Zayne has been nothing short of amazing in his first season on the mats. He only has 1 loss on his record and he has since avenged that loss multiple times. Can't wait to see what the future holds for him. Something tells me, this won't be his last state title.

Clint Dwyer

2022 NYWAY State Champion

Clint Dwyer won his first NYWAY State Championship this past weekend in Long Island. This has been a long time coming. Clint has been nothing short of dominate this year. Clint went into NYWAY States ranked #1 in the State at the 8&U 75lb weight class and he showed everybody exactly why he has that #1 ranking.

Clint dominated his bracket, pinning his way to his first ever NYWAY Championship. Clint even pinned the wrestler ranked #2 in the 8&U 75lb weight class. Clint was dominate. Something tells me this won't be his last NYWAY State Championship.

Kellan Winters

2022 NYWAY State Champion

Kellan Winters took home his 2nd NYWAY State Championship this past weekend. Kellan has been on a mission to bring home his 2nd State Title and he did just that by going 5-0 at NYWAY States and securing his 2nd State Title. Kellan went into NYWAY States ranked #1 at 8&U 50lbs and didn't disappoint.

Logan Willis

2022 NYWAY State Champion

Logan Willis brought home his first ever NYWAY State Championship in Long Island this past weekend. He was spectacular on the day.

Logan means everything to this club. He bleeds Brawler Blue. On the day he wasn't wrestling, he was running around helping us coach the kids that look up to him. Logan is a true leader.

But Sunday, that was his day. Logan was determined to bring home that State Title and he went to work to secure it. Logan pinned 2 of his first 3 opponent's and made his way to the finals. In the finals, Logan was in a tough match. With 12 seconds left in the first, Logan shot his low single and went to work, coming out the back door and putting his opponent on his back for 2. Logan was now up 4-0. That 12 seconds, helped Logan win a close 5-2 match and secure his first ever NYWAY State Championship.
